Features:

  • Start population 12 (instead of 8) (6 families of 2, instead of 4 families of 2)
  • No Taxes for territories
  • New territories cost 150 gold
  • Cheaper Wells/Woodcutter camps/Gathering camps/Sawmill/Stonecutter Camp/Stonemason Hut (upkeep cost and taxes are close to 0)
  • New improved traders (Trading a lot of materials that they weren't trading before)
  • Reduced trading prices
  • Reduced decoration cost
  • Reduced minimum happiness for leaving
  • Increased initial gold capacity

My villagers leave immediately due to unhapiness after placing the village center.

Ya, they accidentally put a positive number for that and so people leave the second they join the town. It needs to be a negative number like -200 to -20000 (depending on difficulty)

The trade options are great. With some balancing this would be a better system for the main game.

It would add a lot of play options if you remove stone from both wells and the sawmill (allows water and bridges in starter zones with no stone). Another option would be to make bridges use wood/logs instead of planks, and make them much cheaper. Either option would be nice, but the first one is easier from what I've seen of the code

Definitely was better with a wider range of trade items. Cloth is needed on the first level of trade. I'm still trying out the current settings, but those were my first issues.

The first trader level should be cheaper. I like when it just costs gold or logs to start trading, then the higher trade level prices are good.

Oh it says clothing instead of cloth. I meant "WOOLEN_CLOTH" on the first level. The one that lets you build a canopy over the trader tables. Everything else looks good so far though. I like the low upkeep for the basics like wells. =)

I'd say the main few things that would make gameplay awesome would be what you have. cheaper territories. a bit larger start population. no upkeep on a few things. cheaper overall. What would be really awesome would be 1 tool per Lumber Camp/Gathering Hut. OR cheap/free tools for trade.
