Custom Map - Evergreen Glade

A secluded heaven of natural beauty.

This map boasts unique terrain that is both open enough to build big cities, and flat enough in areas to build big structures without needing to worry about it looking a bit off due to terrain. There are 8 starting areas that where in mind during the maps creation, however there are plenty of starting tiles to choose from. The map derives it's name from having flat open areas surrounded by lush forest.


(NOTICE) Recent patches have changed some aspects of the maps LUA files, causing minor discrepancies between the images seen here, and the recent adjusted version of the map. This notice is for anyone using the most recent patch. The adjusted version is labeled V1.5 and is not the primary download at this time.

Here is a simple ruler to help figure out coordinates for villager spawn locations. Multiply the numbers by 32 to get the location you desire. The numbers you get will be in the middle of the bars.

You are free to share and/or use this for any reason, but please don't claim credit for making it. There is no need to give credit when using it, just when sharing it.

I started the game again after today's update. I open the map and I can see it

(Edit 1) It seems this might have happened to ALL mod maps. I am going to resolve this within my own right away.

(Edit 2) I have adjusted the maps LUA files and Height Map to make it work. Sadly it seems the Winter Update made some changes to the base game that changed how some values are registered. The changes bring the map close to what it once was, but not exactly.

As for old save files, I believe all old save files on any mod map might be lost. you can try updating to the recent version to test this if you wish. I am hoping it might somehow work. Sorry for the lost save file if not.

Unfortunately, the river is still without water. Apparently there must be a great drought :) .

As you can see, I don't play on the beta version, but on the last update. I checked on other maps - this problem is not there. And if I play on the record before the update, everything is ok.

download it now. version 1.5 was not the primary release at that time, and so was not downloaded from the top. You had to scroll down to versions and grab the correct one.

unfortunately it's not the beta that changed something, but the last update they released before announcing the beta test version for the winter update. I had to ensure this before making this version the primary download

I fear many other maps will also suffer from the great drought until revised haha

Zion_E the entrance/exit at 375, 0, 1010, does not spawn traders (presumably because it is on a cliff)

(edit) Turns out I had the top location completely wrong. it was far too far to the left, away from the intentionally clearing I made in the terrain and trees for it. Thank you a bunch for pointing it out specifically and concisely for me. ^_^

I also had recently made a new ruler overlay in photoshop to help measure where to put coordinates from now on. ;)

If the traders glitching is caused due to the island spawn location. I am not sure I might be able to figure it out, but i'll try my best.

I started the game again on your map - I didn't like the setting up of the buildings, so I'm doing it all over again. As before, I started playing on the island. And there is a problem - there are no traders. I have 2 bridges. Settlers come, a messenger arrives when I send troops - they go on a mission (the attached picture does not show this, because this is another attempt, without too much expansion) and there are no merchants. Of course, the route is unlocked, in the shopping panel everything is set as it should be - buying tools and selling boards. There is also a magazine with a toolbox. So practically nothing is omitted. When I played previously on this map, everything was ok. Now something happened and I don't know what's happening. I checked the "River" on the map. - It's okay. It's okay. The same mod as yours, so it is not the fault of mod.

The translation gets a bit hard to understand near the end. I believe is that a different mod was effecting the traders. Seeing as there are two posts however, I might need to look into this is that's not the case. I am not at this time sure what might cause traders to bug out, but I'll try my best to figure it out if it has anything to do with the map itself.

Hey, the map is amazing so far! There's just a problem with the ne villagers spawning point at the left side of the map, they're getting stuck and can't join the village :'< would u fix that please?

I did a quick change of coordinates for now, and will be play testing it a bit later to get locations 100% right if they need to be fixed again. Thank you very much for the feedback!

I spent a bit of time testing a few times to fix ALL three villager spawn locations that existed. I also added a fourth location for the island starting position, as I am not sure new villagers can cross the water to join your village.

It does have a problem loading. I noticed the mod contents are in another sub folder. All you should need zipped are the mods files.
