Constructed fish ponds were a central part of medieval life, often located near a manor house or monastery. This mod adds the ability to place three different sizes of fish pond in your territory. Ponds cost between 60 and 100 gold coins to build and require between 10 and 14 gold upkeep. The small pond employs one villager and the larger ponds employ two.

When placing the pond, find a flat or low point in the map and rotate the pond until no ground is showing above the level of the water. Since no terraforming is available yet in Foundation, the ponds are build within embankments that are raised above the level of the surrounding area.

Ponds give a significant boost to residential desirability nearby.

Villagers will fish from different spots around the pond depending on where they are coming from. It is possible for two villagers to fish from the same spot and overlap each other, but this seems to be a limitation of the game engine.

Looks nice. I just don't like the fact that installing modifications will slow down the fishing. There is already one modification - Decorative Pond for Foundation where you could also fish (unfortunately there is no update to the current version of the game) and it was better in this respect. It would really be better if there was no such slowdown.

And I didn't even realise there was a pond mod before - thanks for pointing it out! I must say I like my pond model better - but it's also bigger and more complex.

Thanks for the feedback! I can see it both ways. I think I will move the production back to normal in this mod, then put the slowdown in my Balancing mod. That way you can have it either way.
