The gate access needs to be installed in order the assigned inner soldiers go on the rampart. The outer soldiers can't anyway, and stay in front of the arch of the gate.

And one more thing - how to enlarge the octagon tower so that there are more knots for window mountings? Because I don't think it works for me either :) As always :) something MUST not work for me :)

2) The knots exist, but are not always displayed. Actually you have just to overfly the base of the tower with a window, rotate it slowly and then it will automatically snap to one knot. 3) Do not try to add window to a tower already created in a preceeding mod version: in that case it crashes ! (I sent an error report to the DEV)

I checked with my ongoing version. I did not reproduce the problem, with any tower. Please, could you retry with a newly created tower ? I am afraid that upgrading a mod does not fully upgrade the older buildings related to this mod.

I checked with version 2.0.15: actually the upper edge of the door fits the right elevation for the wall. 1) There is a perspective bias on your snapshot 2) The lower part of the door should be covered by the edge of the wall. This door needs improvement only in case of a slope.

Please check the latest update. Probably it is the one that causes the game to be thrown to the desktop after clicking on the wall construction menu and there is a message about a bug. After uninstalling the mod, the game will be kicked out when it is loaded.

I checked, and I haven't reproduced this problem with "my" wall. But I found it on the "large stone wall" of the game (those with the wooden crenation). this was caused by lachie07's castle mod, if i'm not mistaking.

This mod was the first one I uninstalled to check. But it didn't work. I haven't used mod yet and I haven't built anything. Now the situation is like this - if I have enabled Stone Gate Set V2 mod, I can play but I can't use the wall selection menu. If it uninstalls it - the game doesn't load but throws to your desktop.
I hope as always that you can understand what I wrote :)

you assume deleting lachie's mod would fix the issue, this is not true. i have looked into it and now actually know what is causing it. i can say with 100% confidence, the problem was/is lachie's mod.

even after deleting lachie's, some references to it stay in the save file, so whenever you try to open the wall menu it will still try to find lachie's walls, but can't.
he has updated his page with the warning that updating the mod will break an older save (which is what happened to you)

I have (as Godfather used to say) an offer I can't refuse :) - Can you attribute only one entrance to the towers? The entrance through which the soldiers actually enter the towers and gates. Nowadays (at least at my place) they enter most of the time from all sides and they are not always doors. Now I wanted to build an octagon tower and I wanted them to enter from one particular side. After a few attempts I gave up the construction for this reason :( In my opinion it is easier to rotate the tower and set the entrance in this way than to rotate it in the hope that this time it will work.

And one more thing - if, of course, you have time :) wouldn't you think to make a gate that could be actually closed and thus cut off the access to the place? I thought about it because if we want to remove a settler from the game, I am currently building a "cage" from e.g. a wooden wall and putting a forester's lodge inside. When the settler enters, it is necessary to drag and join the wall to close the exit. Oh yes - I click on the gate - close it and the problem is over :) . But of course it's just my idea :) The most important thing is this door and access to the tower.

Currently the modding system of the DOOR is not complete or I haven't find the way to do such yet. When you assign soldiers in the possible 5 slots of the octogonal tower, sometimes they can walk through the entrance correctly, but they appear from the floor on the rempart (or they don't appear). Thank you very much for your (positive) feeback. I appreciate. Unfortunately I have made too many errors since the beginning of this serie, and the question of compatibilities becomes a nightmare. I keep some changes in mind, just in order to try and test new methods of modding with the help of players (I am thinking about soldiers on the rampart of the tower, or optional windows on the midle parts of them. Anyway better castels from historical plans are coming soon :)
