Welcome to Winter Wonderland

A complete landscape conversion mod giving any map you play a Wintery look.

Featuring:

  • Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!
  • Do you wanna build a Snowman?
  • Rockin' around the Christmas Tree
  • A lot of decorative items

Important Note: This mod is mutually exclusive with Ice Castle, if one loads the second in the list will not load!

Special thanks to co-author and original ideas man der_seBi!

And a very special thanks to Ash for his constant help and support and Léo, and Maxime for making this mod possible through the modding API :)

Also a big thank you goes to vjraymon for the French translation of the mod!

Manual Installation Instructions

  1. Download the zip file
  2. Create a new directory in your Documents/Polymorph Games/Foundation/mods folder named Winter Wonderland
  3. Copy the zip file in the new Winter Wonderland directory
  4. Extract the zip file using the Extract Here option (do not use the Extract files... option as it will create one more folder in the file structure and the game won't recognise the mod!)
  5. The mod should be good to go! In case of problems contact me using any of the aforementioned social media links or ping me in the official Foundation discord server.

Note: Check the mods folder for a directory named 326251, if it exists delete it or the game won't load the version of the mod you have manually downloaded!

Hello! Could anyone help me please? download the mod but now I want to discard it, I delete it from the list of mods but it still affects my game, do you know how I can deactivate it?

If you remove the mod from the list of mods for your save file your map will return to the normal non-snowy terrain. You can do that in two ways

For a new game:
- Click the red x next to the mod when you are in the new game creation screen
- Click start game

For an existing game:
- Click load game
- Click edit mods
- Click the red x next to the mod
- Click load game

I hate to be that guy, whenever I load the mod, it fails. I might be doing something wrong

Did you download it from the in game menu or here directly?

If from here then you need to extract the downloaded zip (using the "Extract Files..." option so it creates its own "WinterWonderland" folder not the "Extract Here" option) in your Documents/Polymorph Games/Foundation/mods directory.

If you need further help ping me on the official Foundation discord or on my server (link in the description above)

Of course, winter will be added to the final game? :) The game now looks great :)

Seasons are not actually planned for the vanilla game but maybe in the future we can have modded seasons with the full visual changes

It would be a shame if so much work were just a modification. There is "bad weather" in the game and if we split it into two parts - autumn and winter? I think it would look great - first autumn with rain and then it starts snowing and we have winter until spring
